Prada ຫຼຸດລົງ Viral Top ເປັນ Web3 ລວບລວມ, ຫຼາຍຮ້ອຍຄົນໄປສູ່ລະບົບຕ່ອງໂສ້

Prada’s viral tank top is joining the brand’s Timecapsule nonfungible token collection while The Hundreds joins brands trialling on-chain e-commerce.

Prada will drop its thirteenth limited-edition Timecapsule Collection paired with a corresponding gifted nonfungible token tomorrow June 1.

The June edition features a floral-patterned version of its viral tank top which made it runway debut for fall ‘22 and routinely sells for $1000. The jacquard terry cloth fabric hails from the Prada archives (which is the whole point) and the tanks feature Prada’s enameled triangle logo on the front and the month June written on the back.

As reported, the accompanying gifted NFTs confer membership of the brand’s Prada Crypted NFT community with access to future projects and drops.

Over the last year, the Prada Crypted community were offered opportunities to attend exclusive experiences, such as VIP trips to fashion week shows in Milan and invitations to cultural events such as Prada Extends and Prada Mode.

The Prada Timecapsule NFT initiative launched a year ago in May 2022. It’s a Web3 evolution of the brand’s preexisting Timecapsule initiative which started in 2019 as a monthly, online event featuring an ultra limited edition item drop that’s available for 24 hours only.

Everyone who bought in from 2019 is also eligible to retroactively claim a Timecapsule NFT related to the physical product they purchased.

Meanwhile, on-chain rewards is continuing to gain traction with retail. Newest entry, some.place, a drop-centric platform combining a blockchain based loyalty program with e-commerce, has launched in private Beta with streetwear brand The Hundreds.

The beta is accessible to holder’s of The Hundreds founder’s Adam Bombsquad nonfungible token project who can connect via their wallets.

Billed as an new way of shopping that revolves around storytelling, socializing and rewards, some.place and The Hundreds have recreated the L.A. Fairfax district, home to the brand’s flagship. The platform uses Unreal Engine 5 which allows brands to produce assets, faster more efficiently via self-managed web-based tools.

The vision, said some.place founders Lana Hopkins and Juliana Di Simone in a statement, is a move away from social media and third party data in favor of “an intimate and rewarding experience for fans while empowering brands to connect with this audience in new and exciting ways.”

According to David Yoshida, VP, Web3 Strategy & Partnerships at Razorfish, some.place represents “a low-lift, turn-key option for brands to experiment with Web3 while staying rooted in Web2.”

The Hundreds co-founder Bobby Kim himself, dubbed the platform “the future of commerce” in a statement, adding that it is a space “for our community to come together, shop and socialize, rather than gamification.”
