Snoop Dogg’s Blockchain Goals With Nick Adler joining Gala Music as the legendary rapper’s brand partnership manager, Snoop Dogg’s blockchain goals are moving forward. Snoop Dogg has been a cryptocurrency enthusiast for close to a decade. In 2013, he even accepted bitcoin (BTC) for his album.

Snoop has been a big proponent of non-fungible token (NFT) technology in recent times. Snoop Dogg revealed more than a year ago that he owned millions of NFTs and was a crypto whale.

He told the public at the time that he was “Cozomo de’ Medici,” a Twitter character who owns a large quantity of blue-chip NFTs and is known on NFT marketplaces like Opensea.

Snoop bought Death Row Records, the record label that helped launch his music career, according to headlines at the beginning of 2022.

The rapper released BODR, his 19th album, after acquiring the label from MNRK Music Group. Snoop told the media after the purchase that Death Row’s ecosystem would include blockchain technology and NFTs.

Nick Adler Joins Newly Launched Gala Music Advisory Board

On Thursday, the blockchain music company Gala Music announced that Snoop’s brand manager Nick Adler has joined a newly established advisory board for Gala Music. Additionally, the legendary rapper criticized streaming platforms.

Gala tweets a video of all board members, including record producer DJ EFN, Tupac Shakur’s former manager Leila Steinberg, and DJ and composer BT.

Brandon Tatum, vice president and global head of music business at Gala Music, discussed the new advisory board in an interview with Benjamin James, a contributor to Billboard.com.

Snoop Dogg revealed during an appearance on the podcast “Drink Champs” in April 2022 that he was going to remove Death Row Records’ catalog from streaming services like Spotify.

At the time, Snoop said that streaming platforms don’t pay, and record labels and streaming platforms are the only ones who get paid. Snoop told the hosts of “Drink Champs” that Death Row will soon have an application and music that can be streamed in the metaverse.
