Hey look, it’s June! June is a great month, mostly because it’s my birthday month (heh) though as I get older and greyer I wonder if that’s such a good thing. Maybe we can go back to May again instead?

Like your humble narrator, Wordle also has a June birthday. In fact, Wordle was “born” on June 19th, 2021. I was born on June 20th, 1981. I’m just one day short of 40 years older than the viral word puzzle game. But unlike Wordle, I have opposable thumbs. Ha!

In any case, today’s Wordle thinks rather highly of itself so let’s take a look at it, shall we?

I was actually a little stumped there for a moment once I’d guessed my third guess and knew where the S, O and W went. It couldn’t be ສະແດງໃຫ້ເຫັນ and I just didn’t think of putting a ‘Y’ at the end for a while, until I did.

My first guess earned a “great choice” from Wordle Bot but was, in fact, kind of a dud. It barely narrowed my solutions down at all (172!) though my next guess, stoke, cut that to just six—which, oddly enough, Wordle chocked up to luck. I guess ໃກ້ would have been better “69 percent of the time.”

Are you making a dirty joke Wordle Bot? How juvenile. How, dare I say, ອວດອົ່ງ ຂອງທ່ານ.

Scowl earned me the much-coveted, “This is exactly what I would’ve guessed” from Wordle Bot, and narrowed my total choices down to just one, which I eventually figured out.

I’m traveling this week, which is kind of fun even if it is work-related. “Work-related” in my line of work is almost always fun! Living the dream and all that. Living the dream.
