That is because basketball superstar A’ja Wilson earned yet another MVP honor, this time as the best player in the 2022 FIBA Women’s World Cup. Wilson and the United States defeated China 83-61 at the Sydney Superdome in front of nearly 16,000 women’s basketball fans from across the globe. The win marks the 11th consecutive FIBA World Cup title for the U.S. and officially secures their spot in the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris, France.

Wilson was named league MVP, Defensive Player of the Year and WNBA Finals MVP en route to her first WNBA title with the Las Vegas Aces. After an epic celebration and nearly no rest, Wilson continued her epic 2022 season with another World Cup gold medal.

With a star like Wilson on their squad, it’s hardly surprising that the Las Vegas Aces Twitter account was ranked within the top three among engagement and was valued at over $3 million, according to Zoomph.

The team was among the active accounts in women’s basketball during the FIBA World Cup. Wilson (17.2 PPG) and Aces guard Kelsey Plum(15.8 PPG) led Team USA in scoring throughout the tournament. Aces veteran point guard Chelsea Gray led the United States with 5.3 assists per game, follow by Connecticut Sun forward Alyssa Thomas.

Thomas was also named Best Defensive Player and Team China head coach Wei Zheng was tapped as Best Coach.
