Lionel Messi ເຕັມໃຈທີ່ຈະຕັດຄ່າຈ້າງເພື່ອກັບຄືນ FC Barcelona

FC Barcelona legend Lionel Messi is ready to take a pay cut to return to FC Barcelona this summer, transfer market expert Gerard Romero ໄດ້ລາຍງານ.

Romero, who was one of the leading voices on Barca’s transfer activity ahead of the 2022/2023 season and broke several stories on new signings such as Jules Kounde, revealed the information on his popular Twitch channel.

He said that Messi is “willing to receive a salary that is very adapted to the economic situation at FC Barcelona”, and that people at the club who previously opposed his potential return now understand that it would provide the Catalans with a “great economic injection”.

Messi becomes a free agent on June 30 when his Paris Saint Germain contract expires. SPORTS reported last week that the Ligue 1 giants will return to the negotiating table on the orders of Qatar’s Emir and present his father and agent Lionel Messi an improved renewal offer.

L’Equipe reported in 2021 that Messi agreed to make €30 million ($32.5 million) per season on his two-year deal at the Parc des Princes, which is out of reach for Barca given their current debts and a need to cut €200 million ($216.8 million) from the wage bill on the orders of La Liga president Javier Tebas.

Barca naturally won’t be able to present Messi with anything close to the money he was previously alleged to earn either. Months before his departure to PSG on a free transfer in 2021, El Mundo ran a report which said it obtained a copy of Messi’s deal believed to be the highest-paid contract in the history of sports.

It had Messi earn €555,237,619 (US$601,988,626) over four seasons if he met a series of conditions, and eclipsed the 10-year, $503 million arrangement Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes signed in 2020.

To get around the Blaugrana’s financial woes, El Nacional has reported that Messi will be offered a minimum salary of €200,000 ($216,800) and then the proceeds from his farewell match and possibly merchandising which could bring in anything between €100-200 million ($108-206 million) when it is time to part ways.
